The 2003 film Vlad, directed by Michael D. Sellers and starring Francesco Quinn and Billy Zane, focuses on the legend of Vlad the Impaler, also known as Vlad Dracula. Despite its intriguing subject matter, the film did not achieve widespread critical acclaim and generally received negative reviews from critics. It did, however, manage to gain some recognition in niche film circles.
Vlad had limited success at festivals. Notably, it won an award at the Fort Myers Beach Film Festival, where it was recognized for its contribution to the horror and vampire genres.
